The Edmonton Naturalization Group will host a Garlic Mustard Pull in Mill Creek Ravine this weekend.
Mill Creek is one of few known locations in Edmonton where this weed has been discovered.
Garlic Mustard is easy to pull and has no thorns or skin irritants. It is invasive to our environment and leads to reduced native vegetation including woodland orchids such as yellow lady slippers. It also causes negative long term effects in the soil and reduces available plants for wildlife such as deer, birds and insects.
Time: 9:30am – 11:30am
Location: The corner of 91 St and 77 Ave.
“The pull is weather dependant. Please check the City of Edmonton’s facebook and twitter sites for updates if the weather is bad.”
